In his polo shirts and khakis, he looks enough like an accountant. On this HBO series Doug Wilson joins Norm on Cheers as the only accountants who are regulars on a TV series. He is the accountant for Nancy Botwin, played by Mary-Louise Parker. Doug is not nearly as cool as he thinks he is (very accountant-like). Although he encourages her in her illegal activity, he does so because it is immensely profitable (not to mention he scores his weed from her). It's nice to see a slightly different kind of accountant here and, by the way he's also a city councilor. He may fit in to the fictional politician’s hall of fame better.
